Mae
Some dogs come into the rescue very deliberately, and some come in
because while in the shelter to evaluate one dog, and we are
struck and knocked over by a lightning bolt of love from
another. So what else to do but come home with 2 dogs? Such is the
case with one of the sweetest little souls we've ever met, little
miss Mae. One of our two newest heartthrobs, Mae is about 12
months old and spent 7 months growing up in a shelter. Could you
leave that face behind? We couldn't. She needs to continue her
housetraining but goes willingly into a crate and is eager to
please. She gets along with everyone human and canine, and
although she hasn't yet been cat-tested we think she would be fine
with them as well. If you are looking for a smaller dog with a
heart for LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for EVERYONE, please giver her the
chance to melt you, too.

"A harbor, even if it is a little harbor, is a good thing, since
adventures come into it as well as go out, and the life in it grows
strong, because it takes something from the world and has something
to give in return." -Sarah Orne Jewett, from "River Driftwood"
