DOGS WHO HAVE NEEDED SPECIAL FUNDS

We rely solely on the community and individuals to donate money to the rescue so that we may fulfill our mission of saving discarded and abandoned dogs. We encourage you to donate money to the Love Fund specifically for the purpose of caring for the most ill and horrifically injured dogs whose paths we cross. Dogs like Mocha, who was tied out, shot, and run over by a truck which shattered her leg, all by the time she was 10 months old. Dogs like Shakespeare, who was run over by a car when he was 3 months old and whose injuries were left untreated until he was abandoned at 8 months old, or Sheba, Violet, and Archie who have all needed expensive heartworm treatment. Puppies come in like Harmony, who was terribly ill with parvo and required $3000 worth of treatment to save her life, or Q, who was starved, beaten, heartworm positive, shot with a .45 caliber handgun and left for dead, and required almost $4000 of specialized medical treatment. All of these dogs were rescued literally moments from death from animal shelters, and all of them required special funds to help them survive. Please take a moment to donate to The Love Fund--you really CAN make a difference--one dog at a time.

"A harbor, even if it is a little harbor, is a good thing, since adventures come into it as well as go out, and the life in it grows strong, because it takes something from the world and has something to give in return." -Sarah Orne Jewett, from "River Driftwood" (1881)
